So it takes a million no’s, until you get one yes. Success is a process of struggle, hard work, and persistence.
What have I been up to lately? A whole bunch of random stuff-
trying to sell jewelry when you’re not a sells person equals a lot of work and
disappointment, but I’m hanging in there. C and I went to a dance center that
is literally 5 minutes from my house and I put myself out there to teach a
class. The owner was really sweet, but not looking to rent/hire anyone.
On another front, I just did these turkey hand prints with
my students. Love them! I found an even cuter turkey poem on pinterest, but I
had already done these, so at least I have my next years project! In the "corn" is G's fingers. It was pretty much torture putting paint on his fingers...
I let C paint with her butterfly bracelets and she freaked! Every time she placed the painted butterfly on the paper she let out a gasp. It
was really cute.
C's teacher said that she had a premature grip on scissors,
so of course I went into let’s fix this mode. I brought home kid friendly
scissors and a Dollar store bin and let her cut paper. At first I gave her
construction paper, but I was thinking I want to keep this for crafts, so I
came up with an even better solution…junk mail! It’s going to get shredded
anyways, why not let her practice her cutting skills? It was a proud mommy moment
for me.
